Main motivation in this project is to draw students’ and people’s attention on the issue of Climate changes and put forward one of the less known ways to reduce our (human) impact on this matter. The main topic will be the maintenance and restoration of natural environments (areas) across all Europe. After a small enquiry on the knowledge of Natura 2000 by the general public, only 25% of people had heard about it and only 15 % could explain it!
With 4 partners across all Europe, this project will allow us to realise training covering 4 of the main ecosystems in Europe: Atlantic, Boreal, Alpine and Continental Bio-geographical Region.
Each country will organise visits based on the goals of the green deal such as farm to fork strategy, short circuit market, food picking in forest, organic farming, community gardens.
Other strategies will also be put forward such as examples of projects that have increased biodiversity in urban spaces.
Project will enable students to discover, work on and share knowledge on the issue with students from the partner countries. We want to make citizens, people outside schools, aware of positive impact that biodiversity can have on climate changes by leading our students to create an escape game on Natura 2000 European network linked to climate changes. This will show how all the different ecosystems are connected across all Europe. We’ll also create multimedia supports to disseminate all the initiatives and measures taken to tackle sustainable development in the four partner countries.
