This training program is intended for people who work in the tourism industry during the winter season, such as in restaurants, hotels, or activity services. Studying through an apprenticeship requires a job in the field.

Combine work and study in the tourism industry!
Depending on your job tasks, you can choose from three different orientations:
Hospitality Expert (30 cp) key focus areas are in-depth customer service, learning sales skills from the region’s service offering as well as working and interaction in an international work environment.
Studies consists of two units: Hospitality in Lapland (15 cp) and Working in an international work environment (15 cp).
Artist of Local food (30 cp) key focus areas are preparing local food suitable for the operating environment and the season as well as working with international customers.
Studies consists of two units: Local food and culture of Lapland (15 cp) and Working in an interna-tional work environment (15 cp).
Hospitality Expert in housekeeping (35 cp) key focus areas are in essential housekeeping tasks, safe and effective cleaning practices, customer service, and skill development in an international hospitality environment.
Studies consists of two units: Cleaning services for hotel and accommodation facilities (20 cp) and Working in an international work environment (15 cp).

Training schedule:
- Online studies
- Contact teaching 9.-13.11.2026 in Rovaniemi
- Alcohol proficiency certificate and Hygiene proficiency certificate: 16.-17.11.2026 or 18.-20.1.2027
- Apprenticeship training at the workplace starting on winter season, latest 1st December
- Competence demonstration latest by 28.2.2027
Apprenticeship training requires a valid employment relationship during the training at a workplace anywhere in Lapland in tasks corresponding to the objectives of the training and a professionally qualified workplace supervisor.
