We accept applications only from EU or Schengen countries. Qualifications and trainings have different student selection criteria. Check carefully what is required for the certain qualification or training.
You can apply by filling an application form via Koulutuskalenteri - Education Calendar. Applications via email or other channels are not accepted. Apprenticeship training requires an employment contract that is validated latest by when the training begins. You should already know where you will be working when applying.
The minimum demand on all the education and training is that you have accomplished Finnish elementary school or a similar education (approximately nine years at the age of 7-16 years).
Minor can only apply when the guardian is also living in Finland.
If you apply to qualification or training that is organised in Finnish you need a language certificate proving that you have the required Finnish language skills. You can find Finnish language skills requirements from here (in Finnish only).
Studying a vocational upper secondary qualification is for free – there are no tuition fees. Please notice that the student might have to buy some material depending on the studies; this may include work clothing or equipment. Furthermore the student must take care of their housing and other living expenses.
REDU doesn´t have scholarships, but at the moment studying a vocational upper secondary qualification in Finland is free of charge. Please notice that this does not include your housing and other living expenses – how to finance these you have to consider by yourself.
REDU has housing for the students who are performing their compulsory education through vocational upper secondary qualification and are already living in Finland. Unfortunately there is no housing for the international students.
If you are a citizen of an European union (EU) member state, a Nordic country, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, you do not need a residence permit to stay in Finland. You will find more information here: Registration of right of residence | Maahanmuuttovirasto

Interviews can only be done on-site in REDU´s units (Rovaniemi, Kemijärvi, Kittilä and Sodankylä). The interview unit depends on the qualification or training in question.
After the application period is over, we will contact the applicants who fulfill the application requirements and send them an invitation to the on-site interview. After all the interviews are done we can release the admission results. In some qualifications and trainings, the application process is constantly ongoing.
